A Pentagram is a five pointed star, this is made with five straight lines two joining together at a time.

We first heard of the writings as early as 3000 B.C. in Mesopotamian.

Magical Powers?

This symbol is said to have association with magical powers and those of the pagan faith have a tendency to wear an amulet of a five pointed star.

It is said that this symbol have long been associated to represent the five wounds of Jesus.

Every eight years of the zodiac the inferior conjunctions of the planet Venus plots a five pointed star as seen from earth.

This star with five points represents the five planets Jupiter, Mercury, Mars and Saturn, and Venus as the "Queen of Heaven" (Ishtar).
